My school and Family
- Carry on greeting with an adult, initiating or responding to partner’s expression: good morning, hello, bye, good-bye.
- Follow commands: stand up, sit on the rug/chair, sit properly, line up.
- Answer appropriately, state or being, needs and desires:
- Point to shapes: circle, square triangle rectangle, oval
- Use simplified schedule or daily activities: weather, sunny, cloudy, rainy, windy (today is...)
- Point to understand increasingly precise nouns related to the home, family and food school supplies.
- Memorize and recite with others a simple nursery rhyme, poem or song.
My Body
- Recognize / point to body parts: face,ears, eye, finger hair, hand, head, leg, mouth
- Count from 1 to 10
- Pair pictures depicting opposites: happy-sad, big-small, cold-hot, dry-wet, open-close
- Follow commands: close the door, open the door, point to
- Attend and listen to simple stories
- With hands and /or feet, clap, or tap the beat of a familiar rhyme, poem or finger play
- Understands Christmas vocabulary
Senses
- Understand precise verbs related to the five senses
- Understand feelings: sad, happy
- Answer “Is he happy” questions
- Point to colors: primary, black,brown,green,orange,purple,white
- Given a picture, individual object or person indicate the object person or picture that has been designated
- Name colors
- Perform previously taught hand and body gestures associated to a familiar rhyme, poem or fingerplay
Pets and Animals
- Identify animals (dog,cat,duck,chicken, hen, horse, lion, monkey)
- Understand the difference between domestic, farm, and wild animals
- Interpret and act out through pantomime a nursery rhyme poem or finger play using ones own originals gestures and movements.
- Attend and listen to picture books with story lines of other genres (10 mints)
- Hold a book correctly, turning the pages in accordance with the story being read aloud , from beginning to end.
