Unit 2
My Body
- Point to body parts: eyes, face, nose, hand, head, mouth.
- Count from 1 to 4
- Follow instructions and commands such as: (close the door, open the door point to)
- Pair pictures, depicting opposites: big-small, cold-hot, open-close, happy-sad
- Clap or tap the beat of a familiar rhyme, poem, or finger play.
- Understand Christmas vocabulary: santa claus, christmas tree, bells, reindeer.
- Attend and listen to simple stories (5 minutes)

- To understand precise verbs relate to the five senses.
- To understand feelings
- To answer “Is he happy” questions
- To point to primary colors: red, yellow, blue
- To name primary colors
- Attend and listen to picture books with story lines of other genres (5 minutes)
- Perform previously taught hand and body gestures associated with a familiar song, rhyme, and poem

- Recognize the difference between domestic, farm, and wild animals)
- Habitats
- Given a picture, individual object or person indicate the object, person or picture that has been designated.
- Interpret and act out through pantomime a nursery rhyme, poem or fingerplay using ones own original gestures and movements.
